In this episode, I am going to provide you the immense knowledge of the goodness of curry leaves for your hairs, its possible easiest DIYs, and how it benefited me.
Curry leaves are a rich source of beta-carotene, carbazole alkaloids, protein content, vitamin B, amino acids, antioxidants, and other vital nutrients which are essential for hair growth.
Curry leaves promote the natural production of melanin that prevents premature greying of hairs. If you are tired of your grey hairs, curry leaves are to rescue.
It also opens up clogged hair follicles on the scalp and even helpful in treating chemical-laden hairs.
First thing first, eat 2-3 fresh curry leaves daily after drinking water in the morning. Make it part of your routine, you will see the difference with this holistic herb within few months.

DIY Curry leaves hair masks
DIY 1
Ingredients:
- Curry leaves or powder
- Coconut oil
Direction:
- Warm 3-4 tbsp. coconut oil in a pan and add 10 to 12 curry leaves until you see blackening edges.
- Massage oil on your scalp and apply it throughout your hairs. Apply lukewarm oil or when it cools down.
- Leave it for 2 hours or overnight.
- Wash off with a mild shampoo, do it twice a week for 3 months to track positive progress.

DIY 2
Ingredients:
- Curry leaves or curry powder
- Fenugreek seeds or powder
- Amla juice or powder
Direction:
- Take half cup curry leaves, 2 tbsp. fenugreek seeds and 2 tbsp. amla juice
- Blend it well
- OR equal quantity of each curry, fenugreek and amla powder
- Add half cup curd or yogurt into the ingredients to make a consistent paste.
- Apply this paste all over your scalp and hair.
- Leave it for 30 minutes, rinse with normal water.
DIY 3
Ingredients:
- Curry leaves/powder
- Hibiscus flower and leaves/powder
Direction:
- Take 10-12 curry leaves and 2 hibiscus flower petals or powder.
- Blend them in a mixer or blender until the same consistency
- OR add 2 tbsp. curry leaves and 2 tbsp. hibiscus powder in a bowl and mix water to make a thick consistency
- OR add curd instead of water.
- Leave it for 30 minutes and rinse with normal water.
You may even boil curry leaves and hibiscus petals in water and pour it over your hairs.
DIY 4
Ingredients:
- Curry leaves
- Coconut oil
Direction:
- Wash 15 to 20 curry leaves to remove dirt.
- Boil them until the water reduces to half.
- Cool down to normal temperature, mix half a cup of water with coconut oil, and massage it on your hairs.
- Leave for 30 minutes and wash off with normal water.
DIY 5
Ingredients:
- Curry leaves/powder
- Yogurt or curd
Direction:
- Take 10-15 curry leaves, soak them in water and crush them.
- OR mix curry powder in half cup curd, blend them, and ensure it is not watery.
- Massage the scalp and apply it all over your hair length.
- Leave for 20 to 30 minutes and rinse with mild shampoo.
DIY 6
Ingredients:
- Curry leaves
- Olive oil
Direction:
- Heat 3 tbsp. olive oil and 12-15 curry leave in a low flame.
- Turn off the heat, cool down to normal temperature.
- Massage your scalp and cover the entire length of your hair.
- Leave it for 2 hours and rinse with mild shampoo.
DIY 7
Direction: Boil 15- 20 curry leaves until the water reduces to half. Shampoo as usual, Pour the solution when it cools down and leave it for 10-20 minutes. Rinse with normal water.
DIY 8
Ingredients:
- Curry leaves/powder
- Aloe vera
- Almond oil
- Tulsi
Direction:
- Take 10-14 curry leaves and 10-15 Tulsi leaves (prefer shyama Tulsi) and grind it until the same consistency.
- Mix 1 tbsp. aloe vera into the mixture and 2 tbsp. almond oil together.
- Apply the mixture for 30 minutes to 1 hour,
- Rinse with mild shampoo.

DIY 9
Ingredients:

- Mustard oil
Direction:
- Pour 2 tbsp. mustard oil in a pan, add 5-7 curry leaves.
- Put the flame to the lowest until the curry leaves turns brown.
- Apply the oil into your hairs when its lukewarm. Do not forget to massage your scalp.
- Wash after putting it for at least 2 hours.
DIY 10
Ingredients
- Curry leaves/powder
- Amla Powder
- Bhringraj
- Curd
Direction
- Add 1 tbsp. amla powder, 1 tbsp. bhringraj powder and 1 tbsp. curry leaves into a bowl.
- Mix all the ingredients into curd until it becomes the same consistency.
- Apply the mixture from the roots of your hairs to the ends.
- Leave it for 30 minutes and rinse with shampoo.

1. Scalp moisturization:
Curry leaves hydrate scalp, as the weather changes the dry hair becomes bothersome to many and frizzy when it comes to humidity. It helps in maintaining the moisture in the scalp and the overall health of hair fiber.
