Ever since our childhood, we have seen adults rubbing their nails and us being advised to do so, but why was something we were not aware of!!
The process of rubbing your nails,(actually glidding over your nails) is called balayam(bal refers to hairs and vyayam stands for exercise, thus Balayam).

How To Do – the technique
Step 1: Bend both the fingers of your hand towards each other pointing downward.
Step 2: Glide your fingers from left to right and right to left OR swift it in up-down movement simultaneously, vigorously leaving the thumbnails out.
You can apply almond oil before practing balayam, for lubrication and gorgeous nails.

When to do Balayam
You should always practice balayam before your meal, the best timings are before – breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Do Balayam for 3-7 minutes continuously and for around 15-20 minutes collectively, daily.
Balayam or “Nakhancha Vyayam” is a noteworthy cure for many hair ailments that can be beneficial to so many people when 60% population suffers from medium to serious hair fall problems.
Caution:
- People with high blood pressure should first work in controlling the pressure levels since it aggravates the blood pressure.
- Pregnant women should avoid balayam after 2 months of pregnancy.
